You can thread the yarn through the swirled opening if you want to change yarn mid-stream, or thread it through one of the other letters for a permanent feed. The slot opening will depend on the letters of the name. Note the different names each have a different opening - it's not always at the end - see photos. The off-white of the bowl is the color of the actual clay so there will be some light speckling from the various clay particles that will be seen through the clear glaze. You have the choice of accent colors: black, turquoise blue, royal blue, red, orange, green, pink, purple.
